Using the finest materials and with meticulous attention to detail, creator Vanessa Bergem composes wearable works of art. Each enchanting purse is one of a kind. The original cigar box is carefully selected and examined for weaknesses and scratches. Each box has then been hand sanded and either restained or painted.The inside is lined with velvet in a complementary color, and the outside is coated with non-yellowing laquer to preserve its longevity and splendor. Beaded handles are specially selected and individually arranged to accompany the design of the purse. Metal corners are fashioned to lend style, beauty and protection from damage. In most cases, purse feet are installed on the bottom allowing for an easier,and safer placement. Other design features, such as mirrors, tassles, etc. finish the work, resulting in a resplendent opus you will cherish for years. |
